TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Carefully engineered multiple hollow chambers within all Heartland windows, produce benefits not found in wood, aluminum or other vinyl windows. These chambers create layers of “dead” air, one of the most effective insulators available, providing you with a thermally efficient frame with superior resistance to heat transfer.
Intercept insulating glass technology not only retains its performance over the years, but offers superior thermal performance. Unlike conventional box spacers, the Intercept spacer uses a U-shape design that flexes instead of the sealant during temperature changes. This innovative design resists spacer movement and sealant failure, resulting in high resistance and improved seal longevity.
Low E (low emissivity) coated glass is an important component of all our windows and doors. This specially formulated glass coating keeps out the sun’s heat without affecting your view.
Low E specifies a microscopically thin, virtually invisible coating deposited on a glass surface. This coating limits radiant heat flow between window panes by reflecting heat into your home during cold weather, and back to the outdoors during warm weather.
Even more, it blocks 95% of the sun’s damaging ultraviolet rays to protect your furniture, carpets, curtains and wall coverings from fading.
The Ultra Series integrated hardware locking system is an innovative, patented advancement that combines concealed tilt latches and tilt-on-command cleaning functions into one flush lock.
